Check GTIN or internal ID, SKU mapping, description, unit of measure, package hierarchy, status and ownership.
How to use it
Work through the checklist with the people who own the physical item, master data, label artwork, scanners and downstream application. Record exceptions rather than silently accepting them, because most identification failures happen at the boundaries between those responsibilities.
